Born in 1967 in Thornaby-on-Tees, Philip was a very gifted child musician. He studied with Ella Pounder then later with Denis Matthews.
At the Royal Northern College of Music, he studied with Ryszardt Bakst and Renna Kellaway. He won the Elizabeth Hannah Lees Scholarship and the Frederick Dawson piano prize and graduated with first class honours.
He performs all over the country and teaches piano and composition in Stockport where he now lives. |
